Farmers’ protest Stay updates: As thousands of farmers go on to protest at various borders of the countrywide money demanding the repeal of a few new farm guidelines, the governing administration on Wednesday proposed to give a “penned assurance” that the existing Minimum Assist Selling price (MSP) routine for procurement will go on.

On the other hand, the farmers’ unions turned down the proposal and explained they would intensify their agitation till the governing administration accepts their need for a finish repeal of the a few guidelines. The governing administration also proposed to make required amendments on at least 7 challenges, like a person to allay fears about the weakening of the mandi method.

The farmers are protesting against the Farmers’ Generate Trade and Commerce (Marketing and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Safety) Arrangement on Selling price Assurance and Farm Products and services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
