Facebook Faces Official Questions in India Over Policing of Hate Speech
NEW DELHI—India’s government has requested Facebook Inc. for specifics about how it screens and eliminates inflammatory information on its system in the place, according to government officers.
The Ministry of Electronics and Details Technological innovation wrote to Facebook’s best govt in India this week, the officers said. The letter follows news reviews like a Wall Street Journal write-up Saturday that said Facebook scientists experienced established the company’s providers are rife with inflammatory information in India, a lot of it anti-Muslim.
