Bumper harvest: Foodgrains output to touch 296 mt in 2019-20

Record manufacturing of most crops, barring pulses, in 2019-twenty, has served India posta bumper foodgrains harvest of 295.sixty seven million tonnes (mt), approximately 3.7 per cent much more than 285.21 mt generated in 2018-19, according to the 3rd progress crop estimates released by the Agriculture Ministry on Friday.

Wheat and coarse cereals accounted for much of the boost in manufacturing.
