411 lakh tonnes of wheat procured till date, says Govt

India has procured more than 411 lakh tonnes (lt) of wheat, virtually five.44 for each cent more than last year’s 390 lt and has presently compensated around ₹76,056 crore immediately into farmers’ accounts, claimed Division of Meals and Public Distribution Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey on Thursday.
