Brazil Central Bank Raises Benchmark Lending Rate to 10.75%

SÃO PAULO—Brazil’s central bank lifted its benchmark curiosity charge by 1.5 proportion points as predicted, and signaled a smaller sized rate raise at its subsequent meeting.

The financial institution on Wednesday raised the rate, acknowledged as the Selic, to 10.75% from 9.25%.
